Meet the Shepherd: Craig Madsen

Craig graduated from the University of Idaho in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Range Resources and Wildlife Resources.  Prior to building Healing Hooves, LLC, Craig worked for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) as a Range Management Specialist for 14 years.

Craig has over 15 years experience in range management and has taken a specific interest in weed control, vegetation removal, and ecosystem management utilizing goats and sheep. Craig is also a certified educator in Holistic Management. Holistic Management emphasizes the importance of making decisions toward a clearly defined goal and how the health of our society is linked to the health of the ecosystem.
